I’m back with another dose of George Moore Chevrolet and spreading their campaign, #MooreLove to encourage positivity, support local businesses, and share the rich history of our city, Jacksonville, Florida. I don’t see a better way to show off my city than with a good old-fashioned family weekend itinerary riding around town in a custom-wrapped Chevy Suburban.
This is a collaboration post written by me on behalf of @GeorgeMooreChevrolet all opinions are my own.
Our first stop on the Jacksonville weekend itinerary was the famous Cummer Museum. If you're looking for amazing paintings and sculptures, The Cummer Museum in Jacksonville is the place to go. Although it's one of Florida's smaller museums in size, it makes up in the art it houses and its extraordinary gardens.
They have Picnic Fridays where you can purchase a curated mini picnic basket full of their seasonal favorites. After you pick up your goods from the cafe inside the museum you can head to their beautiful gardens that overlook the St John’s river and take it all in. Even on an overcast day, you can still appreciate the beauty of the museum grounds. It’s a great way to appreciate the city on a Friday evening for a family outing, with plenty of space for the kids to run around outside and a children’s exhibition inside to explore.
What’s a weekend without the local favorite mini donuts? If you’re local to Jacksonville then you know Mini Bar Donuts doesn’t need an introduction and if you’re visiting then it should be a priority to stop!
Mini Bar donuts are made to order, so you'll always receive a hot donut in the store. Unlike other donut shops, their hot sign is always on and with nineteen signature donut flavors, weekend specials, you’ll no doubt keep coming back for more. I personally recommend the maple bacon donut. Tiny in size but full of flavor is what I like to say! I made this donut trip special by spreading #Moorelove in this month of love, by giving a box of donuts to a neighbor.
Next on our #MooreLove family weekend itinerary around Jacksonville, we stopped at a spot in Ponte Vedra that made our weekend even more colorful! The Pinspiration splatter room experience was the highlight of our day. With a huge trunk in our George Moore Chevy Suburban, we had plenty of space to transport our canvases back home!
Make a reservation and plan for an hour of messy fun both for kids and adults and let loose with splattering paint. Pinspiration provides all the protective gear you need and with a full-service bar & light snacks that can be purchased inside- Pinspiration makes it easy so you can just focus on creativity!
A full family weekend of fun is terms for ending it with the newest local restaurant
O-KU in Jacksonville Beach for date night! O-KU made its debut in Jacksonville recently and we knew we wanted to spread #MooreLove to a new business. O-KU is a traditional yet innovative take on Japanese sushi. The space inside is uniquely designed with a waterfront rooftop dining area looking out at Jax Beach. It’s a one-of-kind cultural addition to Jacksonville, Florida with excellent specialty rolls to match.
I always like to say you don’t have to travel far to travel. Exploring your own backyard is enough to appreciate where you live and to support the local communities. It helps when you’re in a custom one-of-a-kind Suburban from George Moore Chevrolet. I’m talking $4,000 custom matte silver wrap and $4,000 custom wheels too! This custom truck was perfect for a custom Jacksonville weekend. A pretty sweet vehicle to spread #MooreLove during our family weekend.
